The circle is complete… FFG and GW are to part ways

As I have mentioned over on the Facebook page for Talisman Island, there have been a lot of rumours circulating recently about the licences for the Revised 4th Edition of Talisman and other IPs from Games Workshop.

Well, it turns out that some of the rumours were true as Fantasy Flight Games have announced that the partnership between them and GW will end on February 28th 2017.

According to the post, anything already announced will be made available by that date, but there will be nothing new to come for any GW line.

It’s certainly a shame, but I really think that Talisman has been left in a really good place and there is a ton of replayability in the old dog yet!

Sadly, this of course means that The Cataclysm will be the last expansion from FFG for Talisman, and the “bridge” for the gap between The Highland and The Woodland will not be forthcoming.

Of course, this does not mean that the missing Realms will not be making an appearance at some point as I have been working on a little something for a little while now. More on that later!

Hopefully my next news post will be a little happier…
