RULES
Place the Talisman Bartering Counters near the rest of the Talisman counters until they are needed. Bartering counters can be earned anytime you defeat a Strength based Enemy. You may choose to either save the Enemy for Strength or take bartering items from it. You may only do one or the other. If you keep the Enemy for Strength, follow the normal Talisman rules. If you decide to take bartering items, you have a number of points equal to the Enemy's Strength to take in either Pelts or Meat. Each Pelt costs four (4) points and each Meat costs two (2) points. Any extra unused points are lost. You may coninue taking bartering counters until you run out of points or decide to quit. Bartering counters are placed next to a Character's Gold and are not counted as Objects.

Bartering counters can be used anywhere, with or without Gold, to make purchases or pay for services. Two Pelts are equal to one (1) Gold and four Meat are equal to one (1) Gold.

If a Character is required to lose all Gold, bartering counters are not lost. Bartering counters are only lost if a Character is required to lose all Objects. Characters which are not allowed to have Gold, may have bartering counters. If bartering counters are dropped, they remain on the space in which they were dropped just a Gold does.

As an optional rule, some Pelts or Meats may be rare and worth more. If a Dragon is killed, that player may take one additional Pelt counter. If an Alien is killed, the player may take one additional Meat counter.
