THE RETURN OF THE B.E.M.S!
The Final Frontier for Two On-line Quests
From their distant world located deep in the Talisman Timescape come the deadliest menace the world has ever seen. A race of dangerous beings bent on the complete conquest of all there is. Of course, I refer to the infamous Bug-Eyed Monsters, or B.E.M.s as they are often known. It was only with the help of many brave and intrepid souls who participated in two On-line Quests that the tide was turned and the B.E.M.s returned to their homeworld to plan conquest yet again.
Behold the evil B.E.M.s!
Later, a hero appeared to help defeat this invasion. Here is the Man In Black Character to add a bit of style to your deck.
Finally, as a bonus to all those who like playing the bad guy, I am happy to present the B.E.M. Character card, seen here for the very first time.
I would like to thank both Thorsten Thielen and Jon New for their help in setting up these two On-line Quests. Jon helped start the idea with a set of Keys to the Kingdom illustrations that he wanted captions for. The B.E.M. Spy comes from this (as did the Undeath Spell). The Snrgl is the Eborsisk from the Willow game Jon passed on my way, while the B.E.M. Scientist comes from the Chainsaw Warrior game – it was in the cartoon included as background to that game. Thorsten drew up the B.E.M. Hunter, the B.E.M. Cleric, the B.E.M. Mutant, the BEM Sniper, and the B.E.M. Tourists.
All the rest of the cards are my fault, especially the B.E.M. Character, who came too late for the invasion, but not too late to play in your games. Ken (aka VooDoo Zombie) was also going to participate in this Quest, but the Hand of Fate intervened. Alas!
