Minotaur - Talisman City

Finding a suitable miniature for the Minotaur was a little tricky as most of the models produced are HUGE and need to sit on a 40mm base.

Then I managed to find a Citadel 28mm Minotaur on eBay.

He is from the Citadel range from 1987 according to his tab, and is featured here in the 1991 Citadel catalogue as shown on the Stuff Of Legends site -

The miniature looking defiant in the face of certain doom from my set of hobby tools! The axe used is one of the "Golden Weapons" from the game Dark World.

Using a craft saw I removed the minotaur's arm and made a cut at the wrist to change the angle of his arm. I should really have made another cut at the elbow, but I thought the arm would be a little too weak with three cuts.

After drilling and pinning the joints with a pin vice I used my electric hammer drill (I kid you not!) to make a hole through his hand to accommodate the axe.

All that was left was to bend his horns up slightly to match the character token and glue him together.

The finished Minotaur is shown below. Not a perfect copy, but it suits my purpose!
