You might recall that in February the Canadian toy store – KIDToy – listed an upcoming expansion for Talisman 5th Edition from Avalon Hill with the subtitle of “Talisman Character Expansion” that was quickly removed from the site after the news broke.
New expansion coming for Talisman 5th Edition!? – Welcome to Talisman Island
Well, after a bit of random searching this evening, I’ve come across another couple of entries following on from a listing found on a Taiwanese product database site!
First of all I noticed a Spanish version of the Talisman Alliances: Fate Beckons expansion being listed that I believe has never been released, though I’m happy to be corrected about that!

Then I was pleasantly surprised to see another listing for Talisman Sagas: Crown of Blood in English, but with pictures in German!

After finding that, I also found a couple of listings at game stores, one French site with the German pics again and one in Denmark just as a preorder page.
I’m not going to spoil anything here other than to say the expansion is a smaller one, and is based on the popular story of Dracula (shock!) and introduces some new mechanics and gives a couple of ways to play with the contents. The release date is listed as the 15th of June, so maybe – just maybe – we’ll see something of it at UK Games Expo, but time will tell!
It also seems to mark a return to competitive play as the box translates (I think!) as “Everyone versus Everyone”.
