I recently discovered that the second printing of the Swedish-language version of Talisman from Äventyrsspel (Target Games) – under the Casper brand – from back in 1990 used box artwork that was originally commissioned for the Black Tiger video game by US Gold for Capcom in 1988!
The original artwork was created by Peter Andrew Jones, who was responsible for other great covers like the one from Games Workshop’s famoous Warlock of Firetop Mountain board game.
Interestingly, the rulebook does not credit the artist correctly, as it is a simple reprint from the first printing of the game which featured artwork by Ryszard Antoniszczak!
