There was some chatter over this last week or so about the need for a new Wiki for the latest iteration of our favourite game, and figured that I’d give it a go!
I’ve always wanted to add a Wiki to the site, but have always been put off by the intricacies of WikiCode and managed to find the Yada Wiki plugin for WordPress that does more or less what I wanted it to do, and then set out to add everything I could think of to it.
I believe I’ve added just about everything for the physical content for Talisman 5th Edition from Avalon Hill, and will be working on the digital only content from Nomad Games very shortly!
You can see from the image above that you can access the Wiki from the main menu for the site which will bring you to a landing page where most things can be found within a few clicks.
If you are adventurous you can click on the Wiki Pages link next to the link for the current page and it will take you to a listing of every page that exists starting with the latest addition.
You can also use the search bar at the top of the page to search for particular things, although that will also bring up regular posts from the site as the wiki pages are actually a special kind of post.
There are limitations, and I’ll try to work around those if they become problematic, but it seems to offer a very similar experience to the Talisman Wiki for the Revised 4th Edition game.
Let me know what you think and if you spot anything that’s a bit off, and I’ll keep plugging away with adding content as it comes out!
By the way, more images are planned, but I’m still pondering the best way to sort that.
