Details:
The Dead King was included as a freebie in White Dwarf #518 in November 2025 and was a welcome return to Talisman promotional items being included in Games Workshop’s flagship magazine!
It seems to open up the design space using the Crown of Command for board overlays that appear to be taking the place of the Alternative Endings that we see in earlier editions.
It’s not known whether the promised Solo Rules for Talisman were supposed be be included in some sort of article, but to add a line that merely suggests picking another card if it doesn’t apply to a solo experience seems a little “lacking”.
Time will tell!
