HeroQuest 2021

Like many people I used to own the original HeroQuest, published by Milton Bradley with Games Workshop in 1989, but in a crazy plot twist I never actually played the game as I never had a gaming group large enough.

I was sorely tempted to join in with the crowdfunding for the latest edition of the game from Avalon Hill, but I figured it would end up being yet another game that sat on my shelf gathering dust.

Avalon Hill then announced in 2024 that they were going to be producing Talisman 5th Edition, and when I discovered that the miniatures in the new edition would be a match for the ones in HeroQuest, I decided to take the plunge and set out to collect as much as I could for the game.

Whilst the plan is not to cover the game in any great detail as there are many fantastic websites already doing that (and much better than I could!), I figured it’d be cool to document just what there is for the game, and perhaps later I’ll look at featuring the miniatures on the site, so that people might consider using them for Talisman homebrews!
