I was sad to see the news on Monday that The Talismanaeum will be closing its doors at the end of the year.
There’s always a chance for a change of mind, but I guess once their collection starts to be broken up then it’ll be inevitable that we’ll lose an awesome Talisman resource.
I’ve offered my services to archive anything that they would like to preserve for posterity as it would be a shame for people to miss out on seeing those fabulously painted miniatures!
I figured it’d be a good idea to link to the eBay account of the Talismanaeum as they’ve started to list some of the expertly painted miniatures from their collection, plus there are a few other bits and bobs of gaming goodness there, including some early Talisman metal minis.
First up for the painted examples are the Ogre, Dark Elf, Thief and Vampire characters for Talisman 3rd Edition that were printed in White Dwarf magazine back in the day.
I tell you what though, if I had the money I’d be all over these as the paintwork is stunning, and there’ll be more to come!
