There’s been a surfeit of news this past week or so from the busy elves at Nomad Games about what’s been happening behind the scenes with Talisman: Digital 5th Edition and a bit of a about what’s to come!

Firstly they released the Classic Movement House Rule Patch for the game, which fixed up a number of things and added the ability to forbid the use of fate to move up to six spaces as players have asked for an experience more like the movement in Talisman: Digital Classic Edition.

Then we had news of the upcoming Hand of Fate update which will give players the choice of rolling actual physical dice and inputting those results into the game and more!

You’ll also be able to show card text on the actual card rather than just in the box at the bottom of the screen, save various game set up configurations and there’ll be an option to alter the difficulty when playing Talisman Alliances: Fate Beckons. No doubt a few pesky gremlins will be removed from the inner workings to stop them creating new bugs!

In case you missed it, Nomad Games have added a DLC Sync Guide to their website to help you to play previously purchased content like the “Reaper to Reaper Classic” on the various other platforms where available.

In a great outpouring of kindness and magnanimity, Paul Grogan of the amazing Gaming Rules has a giveaway running of keys for the recent console versions of Talisman: Digital 5th Edition on PlayStation and Xbox!

You should also take the opportunity to have a watch of his latest Games of the Month roundup and you might find a new game to scratch a particular itch! If you are chronically impatient though, the giveaways are featured about an hour into the video.

Oooh, and I nearly forgot! As part of Steam Board Game Fest, Tom from Nomad Games celebrated with a livestream of Talisman: Digital 5th Edition on Twitch and chatted about the game and gave us some hints as to what is coming next for the game.

He confirmed that they are currently working on the City Classic and then we’ll see the Dungeon Classic being brought to the game along with some new character packs and more planned improvements to the game!

Finally, there was even a teaser for the next game that’s coming from Nomad Games and I can tell you that Tom actually confirmed that it was going to be…

…a board game!

What a time to be alive!
