Talisman, Citadel Miniatures and Blogging

When I was updating the Miniature pages for the new-style Talisman Island, I wanted to feature some more artists in the 2nd Edition and 3rd Edition sections, and set about trawling the internet for new images.

I came across a number of blogs dedicated to old school Talisman miniatures and the like and thought it would be nice to showcase a few of them.

First up is Matthew Sullivan’s Oldenhammer in Toronto blog, which has recently launched with some very nice examples of old Citadel miniatures and in future will have articles on the games that use them.

Then we come to Zorcon’s Word, which covers gaming, painting and related subjects. I have a number of images from Zorcon of figures used to proxy characters that did not have official minis, which I will be adding to the site in the near future.

Finally, it’s well worth a trip to Hammer & Banner. A blog by John McDonnell covering his exploits in wargaming, tabletop gaming and the world of lead miniatures!

If you have a blog dedicated to old school minis, especially Talisman related, then give me a shout and I shall give it a look. If you have any painted minis that I have “gaps” for on the Miniature pages, I’d be particularly interested in hearing from you!
