Chaos has engulfed the far-flung Antian Sector. In its centre, the great Warp Rift pulses like a raw wound, drawing the dark attentions of powerful new foes, dreadful beings who even now circle the sector like predators stalking an injured beast of prey.

Desperate to defend the Imperium’s tenuous foothold, certain highly-ranked agents have sought salvation in proscribed technology, turning the weapons of the enemy against their creators. While the potency of these items cannot be denied, it has caused a great schism in the Imperium, for its more puritanical agents openly denounce such practices as heresy, and do everything in their power to thwart the iconoclasts.

In this time of strife, can a divided Imperium survive against so many foes––or will the sector run red with the blood of the faithful while the great works of mankind burn?

In Nemesis , an expansion for Relic , dangerous new threats to the Imperium converge on the Antian Sector, pitting agents of the Imperium against their most feared foes yet.

Along with four new scenarios, new threat cards, and new wargear to tempt even the most puritanical agents of the Imperium, the Nemesis expansion also adds up to two more players to Relic for epic, six-player games.

Nemesis also introduces the Enemies of the Imperium game mode, which allows up to two players to take on the role of a Nemesis, seeking to thwart the Imperium’s agents at every turn.

The Antian Sector faces danger like never before. Will you stand as a stalwart defender of the Imperium of Man? Or will you work to bring humanity to its knees as a Nemesis? The choice is yours.

Enemies of the Imperium

The Antian Sector has been targeted by deadly new foes. The Nemesis expansion introduces player versus player combat to Relic with the Enemies of the Imperium game mode.

The Enemies of the Imperium game mode allows up to two players to play as Nemeses instead of characters. While Imperium characters work to resolve the scenario in the Inner Tier, Nemesis players work to gain infamy through clashing in battles with characters and resolving engagements throughout the Sector. By gaining enough infamy, a Nemesis player can thwart the Imperium’s attempt to resolve the scenario, brining ruin to the Antian Sector, and winning the game.

Play as Moarn Goreheart, the brutal World Eaters Beserker, or Githellion Ath’ulwei, the mysterious Eldar Dire Avenger. Take on the role of Specimen X, the savage Tyranid Bloodlord, or the cunning Luxuria, infamous pet of Slaanesh.

Nemesis players use specialized decks of cards to corrupt characters, gain infamy, and wage war on the Antian Sector. Nemesis players can also battle other characters, as well as other agents of the Imperium.

Humanity Divided

The new Nemeses aren’t the only new threats to the Antian Sector, and the Enemies of the Imperium game mode isn’t the only way players can oppose each other. In Relic: Nemesis , each character is either an Apostate or a Devotee. All characters begin the game as devotees. However, as they acquire new wargear and assets with the “Apostate” trait, they can become Apostate.

Apostate characters are those who have turned to proscribed technology, turning the weapons of the enemies of the Imperium upon the enemies themselves. Reviled by their puritanical peers, Apostate characters can be targeted for a Skill Duel by Devotee characters. Apostates looking to gain valuable assets, or show their strength can initiate skill duels with other Apostate characters as well, weakening the competition on the way to the Inner Tier, along with gaining rewards for successful Duels.

Four New Scenarios and Two New Characters

The Nemesis expansion adds four new Scenarios to Relic, such as the Hulk of the Wayward Warrior, in which players must complete a cleanup mission of the long lost space hulk, Wayward Warrior .

The Master Collector scenario requires players to bring precious but forbidden treasures to an infamous and reclusive Rogue Trader.

Even the most outwardly puritanical players must strike a bargain with unsavory powers in the Dark Alliance scenario, while Imperium players must set their differences aside in the Shoulder to Shoulder scenario to vanquish yet another vile threat to the Imperium of Man.

Two new characters make their way to the Antian Sector to help secure the Imperium’s foothold. The Eversor Assassin of the Officio Assassinorum is a cunning force for the Imperium, and the Storm Trooper Sergeant of the Emperor’s own Imperial Guard brings superior military tactics and ferocity in battle. These two new characters strengthen the force of the Imperium, even in the face of the Antian Sector’s most deadly foes yet.

Even as new Nemeses make their way to the Antian Sector, the forces of the Imperium stand strong to oppose them. Relic: Nemesis enhances your Relic experience with the option to add up to six players, player versus player combat, the Enemies of the Imperium game mode, and new playable characters and Nemeses.

Whether you work to shine the light of the Emperor in the Antian Sector, or aspire to watch the Imperium crumble, the Nemesis expansion for Relic will transport you to the grim and gritty battle for Antian Sector.
