I thought I’d post a quick update on the homebrew stuff that I’m slowly working through in the background here at Talisman Island.

Progress is a little slow with real life going on, but ideas are beginning to take shape so that I know which direction to take certain things.

I’ve already made up some proxy miniatures for the physical versions of Talisman: City Classic expansion that Nomad Games released a while ago. It’s been delayed somewhat as I’ve yet to start creating the cards and will wait and see if any new items are added to Hero Forge that might help, but they are in a pretty good state already.

My main problem with them is that, due to having to swap around my games area from a dedicated room to the corner of the dining room, I no longer have a 3D printer to make some up, so it’s likely to cost me a bit to get copies made. It’ll get sorted eventually, but for now I’m holding off.

I’m also spending a bit of time making up new templates to create a physical version of Talisman: The Horus Heresy (for the third time!) as the last iteration of it isn’t in the best shape to actually print out, and I’ve started to remake the cards in a Standard American size along with 5″ x 4″ Warlord cards.

Chainsaw Warrior and Chainsaw Warrior: Lords of the Night from Auroch Digital are on my list too, but again I’m just at the “being happy with the templates” stage!

I’m still scouring the search engines for news and pictures of Talisman Sagas: Crown of Blood, but without the main Hasbro and Avalon Hill sites being active it’s proving a tad difficult.

With only three and a bit weeks until UK Games Expo, there’s still no word about whether the expansion will be on sale or even on show so we’ll just have to be patient!

At least I’ll be able to grab a demo of HeroQuest: First Light with the Wizards of Morcar expansion, so it’s not all bad.
